Ukrainian whitework is not one particular stitch but a style in which other recognisable stitches are combined. Satin Stitch, Brick Stitch, and especially eyelets (of many shapes and forms) are used in band-like designs, rich with texture.
This design incorporates Yavorivv braid and diagonal round eyelets, two distinctly Ukrainian design elements into a richly textured band.
Comprehensive stitch diagrams and construction instructions for the traditional folded hem are included.
